Notable Project Achievements

  • 800 hectares of forest cover increased

    More than 800 hectares of forest cover increased in the Siguil and Kablacan watersheds in Maasim, Sarangani Province by directly involving 330 farmer-families in agroforestry.

  • Paved the way for the revival of Flalok

    Paved the way for the revival of Flalok, a Blaan art of storytelling through the Flalok Project funded by the USAID

  • Helped increase literacy of Blaan learners

    Helped increase literacy of Blaan learners by co-developing learning materials in the mother tongue

  • Developed various culture-sensitive and culturally-adapted learning materials

    Developed various culture-sensitive and culturally-adapted learning materials (Blaan, Tboli, Cebuano, Chavacano and Maguindanaon) integrated in DepEd classes

  • Facilitated advocacy and awareness activities on child rights

    Facilitated advocacy and awareness activities on child rights in families, schools and communities to ensure safe spaces for children

  • Helped 40,000 non-readers

    Helped improve the reading ability of more than 40,000 non-readers
